Leaving Oslo

Our final morning in Oslo we spent in the Munch Museum. Sadly the ‘Scream’ was not on display but there were plenty of other mournful paintings to enjoy. We left Oslo late afternoon and headed west, moving away from the coastal route. The roads were tortuously windy and narrow in parts but the scenery was breathtaking. We travelled for five hours and stopped for the night in a layby overlooking lake Nisser, a huge lake, its length stretched for over 30 kms. We sat outsides with our gin and tonics marvelling at the amazing views.
