Heading to Sweden

With only one and a half set of hands packing up the van proved to be problematic . Getting the bikes on the rack being the most difficult. Luckily we had two friendly, German, female neighbours who came over to help once they saw our struggle. All packed up and with me in the driving seat we headed for the ferry and Sweden.
During the ferry crossing we took advantage of the cheap alcohol prices, and bought a 3 litre box of gin. Never having seen it sold like this before and without any branding we were not hopeful of its provenance or taste but assumed with plenty of lime, ice and tonic we would think it to be Hendricks. Strangely you can only purchase alcohol in Danish waters, once the horn goes indicating the ferry is in Swedish waters you can only buy chocolate and cigarettes.
The roads in Sweden, as has been the case for all the roads we’ve travelled so far, are excellent and not busy. The journey to Gothenburg took about 3 hours and as we arrived the wind and rain started so we switched on the heating and spent the afternoon reading
We had bought fresh prawns from a stall on our way to Gothenburg which we had for supper, again washed down with the obligitory bottle of white wine, which we had bought on the ferry (whilst still in Danish waters). Graeme proved that one hand is as good as two and did the washing up with only a little help from me.
